Triggered: From Reaction to Resilience – A New Path to Mental Wellbeing

There is something sacred about this moment.

Each year, Mental Health Awareness Month invites us to pause…
to reflect…
and to acknowledge the invisible struggles so many carry.

But this year feels different.

This year, I find myself not only reflecting—but celebrating.

Celebrating you.

To every client who has sat across from me with courage in their eyes…
To every person who has chosen to look within rather than turn away…
To every friend, colleague, and family member who has supported this work—

Thank you. 💖

Because of you, this work has reached farther than I could have ever imagined.

🧠 What If Your Reactions Aren’t the Problem?

Many of us have been taught to believe that our emotional reactions are flaws:

  • “I’m too sensitive.”
  • “I overreact.”
  • “Why can’t I just let it go?”

But what if none of that is true?

What if your reactions are not the problem…
but signals?

From a neuroscience perspective, what we call “triggers” are actually patterned responses in the brain and nervous system—formed through past experiences and reinforced over time.

And here’s the part most people don’t realize:

Patterns can change.

Through the brain’s natural ability known as Neuroplasticity, we are not stuck with the emotional habits we’ve inherited or developed.

We can rewire them.

This is the foundation of my work with rREST.

🔥 From Triggered to Transformed

This month also marks the launch of a project very close to my heart:

Triggered: From Reaction to Resilience

This book is not theory.

It is not surface-level advice.

It is a collection of real, raw, and deeply human stories –
from individuals who have walked through anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, and despair…
and found their way to clarity, resilience, and even joy.

These are stories of people who didn’t just “cope.”

They transformed.

And what makes these stories so powerful is this:

They are not extraordinary people.
They are people who were willing to face their patterns – and change them.

🌍 In a World That Feels Uncertain…

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed right now.

The world can feel like it’s moving too fast…
like everything is uncertain…
like there’s more to carry than ever before.

But your inner world matters.

In fact –
your ability to find calm, clarity, and grounded power within yourself
may be one of the most important contributions you can make.

✨ A Few Words to Hold Onto

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.”
— Viktor Frankl

“You are not your thoughts. You are the awareness behind them.”
— Eckhart Tolle

“The brain can change at any age.”
— Norman Doidge

🌱 An Invitation

If something in you is ready…

Ready to understand your triggers differently

That possibility is already alive within you.
